DEWITTVILLE- Michael "Mike" A. Hawley, 45, of Dewittville, died, Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home.

He was born January 12, 1973 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late C. Douglas Hawley and Mary Ellen Paine Krawczyk.

Mike was a graduate of Mayville Central School class of 1992. After high school he worked at Better Baked Foods in Westfield, NY as a forklift operator and then for Valeo Engine Cooling in Jamestown, NY.

He never hesitated to help his friends and family and was a great handyman. Mike loved helping his neighbors, gardening, campfires, playing pool, and animals, especially his dogs. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart (since the age of 13); Sue "Ginny" Walters Hawley, whom he married February 13, 1993, his daughter; Kaytlyn Marie Hawley (Omar), his son; Trevor James Hawley (Haylay), three brothers; Fletcher "Butch" (Patti) Walters Jr., Kevin (Carmen) Walters, and Michael David (Michelle) Hawley, one sister; Tracilynn (Larry) Bailey, his maternal grandmother; Barbara Zook and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is further survived by his family of choice, Nana and Papa White, Aunt Nellie and Gregg, and Pops David Laclair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his parent in-laws; Fletcher Walters Sr and Mary "Sis" Walters, his step father; Joseph Krawczyk, and his Golden Retriever; Maggie Mae.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 5PM at the Dewittville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church (5821 Meadows Rd, Dewittville 14728). The Rev. Andrew Frudd will officiate.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service (4-5PM), at the church.
