DEWITTVILLE-Mildred E. Steenburn, 87, of Dewittville, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 27, 2018 at UPMC Chatauqua WCA. She was born March 12, 1930 in Southbridge, MA to Arthur and Ellen (Hampson) Whiteoak. Mildred (Millie) married Kenneth J. Steenburn on June 18, 1949 in Southbridge, MA. Kenneth and Millie ran a Dairy farm in Southbridge and in 1958 moved to Dewittville, NY where they had a farm on Centralia-Hartfield Rd. She was a life member of the Dewittville Fire Auxiliary and a life member of the Chautauqua Lake Antique Auto Club of America (AACA). Millie was known for her sweet spirit and was loved by all who knew her. She was a wonderful mother and her spirit will live on through her children and their children. Millie loved to read and play crossword puzzles. She enjoyed the social interaction of playing bingo with her friends and family.

She is survived by a son Carl (Nancy) Steenburn, of Dewittville; four daughters: Kathryn Steenburn and Ruth Steenburn of Dewittville, Nancy Steenburn (Rick) Wincenciak, of Goose Creek, SC, and Ann Steenburn of Sebastopol, CA.

Millie had nine grandchildren: Jason (April) Steenburn of Jamestown, NY, Mark (Michelle) Steenburn of Jamestown, NY, Clint (Jennifer) Vanderwark of Lavonia, NY, Brian (Lauren) Steenburn of Naples, NY, Mary Wincenciak (Octavio) Fabisiewicz of Charleston, SC, Lynn Wincenciak of Charleston, SC, Elizabeth Wincenciak of Goose Creek, SC, Erin Currie of Sebastopol, CA and Shawn Currie of Los Angeles, CA. Millie had 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Steenburn in 2001. Her parents, her sister, Ruth Whiteoak and her brothers Kenneth Whiteoak and Donald Whiteoak.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 3 ^rd at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Bible Chapel, 98 Lakeside Dr., Bemus Point, NY. Donations can be made to the Dewittville or the Stockton Fire Department. There will be a burial held this summer in the Pleasantville Cemetery.
