MAYVILLE- Nancy Fred Navarro, 79, of Mayville, died on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA with her family by her side.

She was born July 25, 1939 in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Martin and Mercedes Bermudez Fred.

Nancy had worked as a Resident Assistant at the Cassadaga Job Corps Center in Cassadaga, NY.

She was member of St. Mary of Lourdes RC Church in Mayville. Nancy enjoyed volunteering with the Chautauqua and Mayville Loan Closet program and helping with VFW events, as well as fishing, painting, playing cards, scratching lotto tickets, and spending time with friends and family.

Nancy is survived by her five children; Raymond (Natalie) Navarro of Mayville, Penny Navarro of New Jersey, Pebbles Berg of Mansfield, OH, William (Shannon) Navarro of NC, and Marcia (Shawn) Barnes of Columbus, OH, eight grandchildren; Raymond II, Melissa, Jacqueline, Jefferey, Matthew, Ryan, Zachary, and Veronica, eight great grandchildren, one brother; Dion Fred of Redwood City, CA, several nieces and nephews, and several close and special friends who were like family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Raymond Navarro Sr, whom she married on December 22, 1962 in South Bronx, NY, her parents, and a grandson; David Berg.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the St Mary of Lourdes RC Church in Mayville. Father Todd Remick will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St).
