SHERMAN- Norma, June Linger, 76, of Sherman, died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born July 12, 1942 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ed and Dovie Maiden Ferguson.

Norma had worked as a waitress at many local restaurants including the Mayville Diner and the Peacock Inn. She was also a self-employed home health care aid.

She belonged to the New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Mina.

Norma loved to shop at lawn sales, loved

all holidays, especially Christmas and the Fourth of July, feeding the hummingbirds, and time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James William Linger, whom she married July 13, 1960 in Mayville, her four children; Cindy (Jim) Murray of Sherman, Sandy (Jan) Freligh of Sherman, Jamie (Joe) Ratzlaff of Sherman, and James Linger of Sherman, seventeen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and four brothers; RL Ferguson of Erie, PA, Floyd Ferguson of Sherman, Rick Ferguson of Sherman, and Don Ferguson of Georgia.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, one son; George Ferguson, one daughter; Janice "Cricket" Rothwell, four great grandchildren, one sister; Debra Ferguson, and one brother; Gerald Ferguson.

The funeral will be held at 3PM on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie St). The Rev. Mark Lata will officiate. Burial will be in the Mina Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9PM on Wednesday, March 20 ^th at the funeral home.
