MAYVILLE –Patricia M. Crandall of Mayville, died Friday, June 9, 2017 in the Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gowanda, NY. She was born on March 18, 1936, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Frances Bebak and George Mirek.
She graduated from Dunkirk High School and Bryant and Stratton Business College. She worked for the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services for 27 years, retiring in the Medical Assistance Department as a Senior Social Welfare Examiner.
Pat enjoyed her family, friends, cooking, gardening, and swim aerobics. She was also an avid reader. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling.
Pat was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #8647 in Mayville, NY. She attended St Mary's Church in Mayville for many years, and after retiring to Florida, became a member at St. Gerard's Mission Church. She served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion in both parishes.
She is survived by 3 sons; Michael (Susan) Crandall, Joe (Patti) Crandall, and John (Terri) Crandall, nine grandchildren; Dustin (Stacey) Crandall, Heather (Dave) Cofer, Mathew Crandall, Elizabeth (Ryan) Boline, Erin Crandall, Sara Crandall, John (Ashley) Crandall, Joshua Crandall, And Ashley Crandall, and nine great-grandchildren, Natalie and Porter Cofer, Molly Crandall, Mason, Savannah, Emmitt, Kyrie, and Adelaide Crandall, and Anna Boline.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on January 29, 1955 at St Hyacinth's Catholic Church in Dunkirk, New York.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
