MAYVILLE- Paul H. Hoitink, 82, of Mayville, died on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born February 1, 1935 in Clymer, NY, the son of the late Harold and Myrtle Einink Hoitink.
Paul had been a truck driver for Agway Petroleum in Mayville and Maplevale Farms in Clymer, as well as an assembler for Klings Furniture in Mayville.
He was a member of the Mayville United Methodist Church, a Life Member of the Mayville Fire Department, and a Social Member of the Vikings Club. Paul enjoyed bowling, golfing, watching stock car racing, playing on the computer and being with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his wife, Barbara J. LaCross Hoitink, whom he married February 17, 1956 in Clymer, NY, 3 children; Jeanne (Gregory) Auge of Liberty, NC, Korene (Vince) Munson of Dewittville, and Pete (Lorene) Hoitink of Mayville, eight grandchildren; Matt (Heather) Munson, Luke (Sabrina Klick) Munson, Heidi Hammond, Jeremiah (Megan) Hoitink, Ben (Sarah) Hoitink, Melissa (Cory) Leymeister, Gregory Hoitink and Robby Hoitink, three step-grandchildren; Gregory Auge, Chris Auge, and Bryant (Nicole) Auge, ten great grandchildren; Ryan, Bella, Zoe, and Garrett Hoitink, Marcus Hoitink, Liam, and Joesph "Jack", Leymeister, and Madison, Lilly, and Nora Munson, one sister; Erma (John) Smith of Kentucky, one brother; Jerrold Hoitink of Falconer, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Howard Hoitink, and a granddaughter; Lydia Munson.
The funeral will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11am at the Mayville United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Parsons will officiate. Burial will be in Mayville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Sunday, September 24 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville, and for one hour before the funeral on Monday at the church (10-11am).
