MAYVILLE – Pauline T. Fricke, 89, of 40 E. Evans St., Mayville, died Monday (May 26, 2015) at her home.
She was born August 18, 1925 in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of the late William and Hildegarde Tilly Thompson.
Pauline had been a waitress and cook at the Mayville Diner and Webb's Captains Table, she had also worked for Chautauqua Opportunities.
She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mayville and the Town of Chautauqua Loan Closet.
Pauline enjoyed cooking, reading, her cats and dogs. She also enjoyed starting and attending the Annual Tilly Family Reunions.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail (Karl) Erb of Mayville, and Judy (Shawn) McLain of Mifflinburg, PA; one son, Douglas Fricke of Mayville; two grandchildren, Henry Benroth of Westfield, and Michael McLain of Mifflinburg; two sisters, Mary Mirek and Alice Sutton both of Dunkirk; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn J. Fricke whom she married August 5, 1944 in Mayville and who died December 14, 1986; one son, Dennis F. Fricke who died August 11, 2008; an infant sister, Florence Thompson; two brothers, Edward and Richard Thompson.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Pastor Shawn McLain, Pauline's Son In-Law will officiate. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery.
