ASHVILLE- Phyllis A. Evangelist, 72, of Ashville, NY and formerly of Clearwater, FL, passed away on February 21, 2020 at her home.

She was born October 13, 1947 in Trenton, NJ, the daughter of the late Michael and Eda Degli Umberto Corallo.

Growing up, Phyllis attended St Michael's the Archangel Catholic School and graduated from Conwell Egan Catholic High School, class of 1966. She then earned an Associates degree from Bucks County Community College and completed Cosmotology coursework at the Levittown Beauty Academy.

Phyllis loved her Papillion dogs, doing crafts, helping people in need, raising her chickens, and exercising her green thumb in her gardens over the years. Most of all she loved spending time with family and loved ones, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving companion; Dave Lafortune, two sons; Anthony Evangelist of Clearwater, FL, and Michael (Tifani) Evangelist of East Peoria, IL, six grandchildren; Erica, Tamara, Sara, Ellise, Evangelist, and Madison Santiago, all of Clearwater, FL, and Austin Evangelist of East Peoria, IL, one great grandchild; Katelyn Huffman, one sister; Rose Marie Wells-Taylor, and a brother in law; Louis Mignacca, a cousin; Dr. Marion Lombardi Sanphy, three nieces; Lisa Marie Warner, Diana Mignacca Shettle, and Krista Mignacca Brown, and one nephew; Robert Cliver.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
