Richard C. Applebee Sr.

CLYMER-Richard Carl Applebee Sr. 96, formerly of Clymer, went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2018.

He was born January 16, 1922 in Waterford, PA, the son of the late John and Shirley Bliley Applebee.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Dorothy TenHarken Applebee in 2017, and a son; David Applebee.

He is survived by his daughter; Sharon Keith of Blockville, a son; Richard (Linda) Applebee Jr. of North Clymer, his sisters; Jerry Lou Fox of Clarendon, PA, Lucille Kahle of Waynesburg, VA, Darlene Applebee of St Cloud, FL, Marilyn Beckstrom of Forida, FL, brothers; Donald Williams of Jamestown, NY, and Rodney Williams of Clymer, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and seventeen great great grandchildren.

Richard had been a resident at the Absolut Care of Westfield.

He retired from Corry Contract Co in 1984 where he worked as a welder. In previous years he worked as a head sawer for Bissell's Saw Mill in Sherman, NY, and had been a dairy farmer for several years. After his retirement he and Dorothy lived in Ocala, FL for 13 years.

Richard enjoyed stock-car racing, watching wrestling and pulling jokes on his family.

He will be greatly missed by his family, but we will always remember his sense of humor and the pranks he liked to play on all of us.

A family graveside service will be held on June 16, 2018 at 11AM at the Clymer Center Cemetery
