PANAMA – Ricky J. Lang, 63, of Panama, NY, died Sunday (January 25, 2015) in WCA Hospital in Jamestown.
He was born June 4, 1951 in Westfield, NY the son of the late Albert and Florence Roberts Lang.
Ricky was a veteran of the US Marines serving during the Vietnam era.
He had been a machinist for S&S Machine Shop in Jamestown.
Ricky was a member of AMVETS Post 50 in Sugar Grove, and the American Legion Post 758 in Sugar Grove.
Ricky loved motorcycle riding, playing with anything mechanical, and hanging out with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Roxann Doverspike Lang, whom he married June 3, 2000 in Jamestown; six children, Cassandra Blake, Dustin Lang, Jeff Lang, Shawn Renzi, Tammy Lang Bennett, and Kelly Loray; three step children, April Smith, Wendy Frye and Bobbie Jo Frye; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Baker and Maxine Adams.
He was preceded in death by a brother Jack Lang.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Friday (Jan. 30, 2015) at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday (February 28, 2015) at the Bear Lake Fire Hall. Rev. Nicholas Troup will officiate. Burial will be in the Chautauqua Cemetery.
