Robert C. Biekert, 98, of Jamestown, died, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Heritage Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Jamestown, NY.

He was born June 23, 1920 in Mayville, the son of the late Clarence and Heika Overlander Biekert.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Army with the rank of Staff Sgt. He served during WWII in England, North Africa, and Italy.

He belonged to the Jamestown Seventh Day Adventist Church, and the IAM Union (International Aerospace & Machinist

Association).

Robert is survived by his daughter; Patricia Knowlton of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Margaret Seitz Rundell Biekert, whom he married in September of 1947 in Cleveland, OH, his parents, a brother; Donald Biekert, and a son in law; Kenneth Knowlton.

At Roberts request, there will be no visitation or services observed. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
