MAYVILLE- Robert "Bob" L. Gervasi, 72, of Mayville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born January 29, 1951, in Westfield, NY the son of the late Angelo and Ellen Lawry Gervasi.

He was a 1969 graduate of Westfield and Academy Central School and then earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University. He worked as a Civil Engineer for Weyerhaeuser Company in New Bern, NC and also for Mead Paper Company in Erie, PA.

Bob was a kind and gentle person to all he knew. He loved sports and was an avid golfer with his wife, Lil. He was a member of the Chautauqua Golf Club where he had served as treasurer for the spring and summer league he played in. He also enjoyed playing Pickle Ball, cornhole, and ping pong.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian "Lil" Murdock Gervasi, whom he married May 16, 1998, in Washington, NC, a sister, Kay (Barry) Sommers of South Carolina and a half-brother, Aaron (Tina) Hohenstein of Delaware. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no services held at this time. A July memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
