MAYVILLE – Robert "Bobby" Lee McGee Jr., 67, of Mayville, died Tuesday (November 24, 2015) in his home.
He was born August 27, 1948 in Mobile, Alabama, the son of Robert McGee Sr. and the late Evelyn Burdick McGee Douglas.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. Bobby enjoyed the outdoors, the woods, camping, fishing, and people.
He is survived by his father, Robert L. McGee Sr. of Florida, two sisters, Karen (Walter) Taraila of Bishopville, MD, and Diane D. (Lee) Tarr of Mayville; one brother, Thomas E. (Laurie) Douglas of Mayville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and one brother, David R. Douglas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday (December 5, 2015) at the Mayville Cemetery in the veterans section. The veterans from Lake Chautauqua Memorial Post VFW will conduct Military Honors. A reception will follow after the service at the Mayville VFW.
