WESTFIELD – Rose F. Lauer, 79, of East Main St., Westfield, died Saturday (August 8, 2015) at Absolut at Westfield.
She was born January 18, 1936 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Stanley and Jennie Zabrowski Gister.
She formerly worked at Westfield Sewing Factory and at Westfield Memorial Hospital.
Rose enjoyed reading, going to yard sales, shopping and traveling.
She is survived by six children, Donna (Mark) Yablin of Buffalo, Susan (Tim) Slate of Fredonia, Joyce (Mike) Davison of Richmond, VA, Robert (Marie) Lauer Jr. of Richmond, VA, Gail (Steve) Meleen of Westfield, and Mark Lauer of Portland; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Kolacz of Depew and Frances (Harry) Kowal of North Tonawanda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Lauer Sr. who died August 28, 2011; two brothers, Richard and Theodore Gister.
The funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:30 pm Wednesday prior to the funeral.
