RIPLEY- Ruth M. Henry, 85, of Ripley passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at her home, surrounded by family, following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 30, 1936, in South Ripley, NY, the daughter of the late Robert and Mabel Foster Perdue.

Ruth was a graduate of Sherman Central School. She had worked as an artist, a kitchen worker at the Waters of Westfield Nursing Home and the Paschkle's Restaurant in Northeast, PA.

She was a member of the South Ripley United Methodist Church.

Ruth enjoyed ceramics, painting, taking walks, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband; Harry D. Henry, whom she married May 1, 1954 in the South Ripley UMC, three children; Timothy Henry, Coleen Henry Yokom, and Cindy Henry, four step children; Dennis Watson, Debi Lintz, Diane Jones, and Michael Watson, eight grandchildren; Tina, Sandi, Schawn, Allen, Jennifer, Randy, Amanda, and James, twenty one great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother; Willie Perdue, and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by a daughter; Christine Garske, and three siblings: Lois Cook, Fern Leek, Edna Maas and Pete Perdue.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the South Ripley UMC ( 10008 NE Sherman Rd, Ripley, NY 14775).
