SHERMAN- Sandra L. Rodgers McIntyre, 80, of Sherman, was called home on Monday, March 13, 2023, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA.

She was born December 27, 1942, at St Vincent's hospital in Erie, PA, the only child to Lawrence and Ella Vincent Rodgers.

Sandra was a 1963 graduate of Sherman Central School. She married Norman McIntyre on June 21, 1963, in Sherman, NY. She stayed one year in Germany with her husband who was in the US Army. Sandra worked at Sherman Central School as a cleaner and cafeteria worker from 1980 to 2005, when she retired.

She was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association Chapter in Franklin, PA, the Prayer Warriors. She also attended the First Baptist Church in Spartansburg, PA, and the First Baptist of Franklin, PA.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Norman H. McIntyre, her daughters; Patricia (Grossman) Gary of Union City, PA, Colleen (Carlson) Gary of Lander, PA, Heather Sanborn of Jamestown, NY, and April (Gourley) Jeff of Russell, PA, twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville, NY (139 S. Erie St). Visitation will be for two hours prior to the funeral (10 AM to Noon), at the funeral home. The Rev. Daniel Prewitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Mina Cemetery.
