Vera C. Auge Sandwall, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Star Hospice House in Lakewood, NY. She was born June 29, 1941, in the Town of Chautauqua, the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Houseman) Auge.

Vera worked at Chautauqua Central School for over ten years and as a Nurse's Aide for Accard Care and Willow Lodge. She then went on to private nursing.

Vera loved gardening, feeding her hummingbirds and helping others. She had a granddaughter, Shelby (Ethan) Black of Sugar Grove, PA, and two grandsons, Cody Graham of Lottsville, PA and Benny (Beth) Graham Jr. of Warren, PA, who were very close to her heart.

Vera is survived by a daughter, Karen Doebele of Tampa, FL, and two sons, Benny (Diane) Graham of Lottsville, PA and Robbie (Kim) Graham of Chester, SC, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren one brother, Norval Auge of Sherman, NY and one sister, Naomi (John) Weary of Mayville, NY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sandwall, one sister, Myrtle Lindberg, and six brothers, Vernon Auge, Jules Auge, Eldon Auge, Lauren Auge, Edmond Auge, and Arnold Auge.

At Vera's request, there will be no public services observed. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
