Victor Lynn Tatum, 66, of Dewittville, New York and formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his home following a nine-year battle with cancer.

Born in Pittsburgh February 27, 1954, the son of the late Fanibelle Moye, Victor graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1972. He then attended Carnegie Mellon University as a performance major. Over the years, he played in several bands and church groups. Victor served in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1982, working as an air traffic controller while earning a master's degree in Business Administration from Barry University in Florida. He returned to Pittsburgh and was employed by Pittsburgh National Bank (PNC) and United States National Bank in Johnstown until 1998 when he and his wife, Colleen Neville Tatum, formed Kensington Capital Corporation, a commercial equipment finance business.

An active worshipper at Waverly Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Victor was also a member and board member of Edgewood Country Club and served on the board of the Western Pennsylvania Minority Supplier Development Council (WPMSDC).

Music always remained a key part of Victor's life. In recent years he began writing his own music and performing at local venues in the Chautauqua, New York area. He also enjoyed golf, tending to his rose bushes, and sharing his love of model trains with his eldest grandson, Bo.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen, his three children; Kathleen Tatum and Victor Tatum Jr, both of Pittsburgh, and Daniel Irvin (Dawn) of Bonaire, Georgia; and his two grandsons, Bo and Cooper Irvin.

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic burial will be private. When restrictions are lifted a Celebration of life will be held in Pittsburgh at a time and place to be announced.
