DEWITTVILLE- Vincent "Vinny" A. Lupole Jr., 88, of Dewittville, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Warren Manor.

He was born June 28, 1934, in Johnsonburg, PA, the son of the late Vincent Lupole Sr. and Elsie M. Biles Lupole.

Vinny was a 1952 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. He then proudly served his country in The United States Navy and was proud of his time aboard the USS Missouri during the Korean War.

After his honorable discharge he was a Heat Treater for Exotic Metals in Ridgeway, PA, and then a Machine Operator for Ethan Allen in Mayville, NY, where he retired from. He then worked for several years as a landscaper for the Chautauqua Institution and a landscaper for the NYSDOT Senior Program.

Vinny was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary with the Dunkirk Flotilla, the Bear Lake Rod and Gun Club, the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and a former member of the Mayville United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and taking care of his yard and garden.

Vinny is survived by his son; Hervey (Cheryl) Lockhart of Panama, NY, his daughter; Carol Lynn Lockhart of Jamestown, NY, a grandson; Kenneth Lockhart of Panama, NY, and a sister; Renelda Ferragine of St. Mary's, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Laura Ellen Ganoe Lupole, whom he married June 29, 1979, a sister; Margaret Lupole, and two brothers; Bill and Bob Lupole.

The funeral will be held at 7PM on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St). The Rev. Norman Burdick will officiate. Calling hours will also be held on Friday at the funeral home from 5-7PM, two hours prior to the funeral.
