SHERMAN – William A. Warner, Sr., 53 of Nettle Hill Road, Sherman, died Friday (Sept. 18, 2015) in St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, PA.
He was born January 3, 1962 in Westfield the son of the late Albert T. and Jean Tanner Warner.
Bill was employed at the New York State DOT in Mayville. He loved his job the people that he worked with and all the new people that he met.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, gardening and planting, he also enjoyed tinkering around the house.
Bill was a loving husband and father. He thought first of his family and friends, always putting his own needs aside to help others. He wanted nothing more than to spend time with his family, friends, and love ones. He was a hard-working man who dedicated himself to building a strong future for his wife, son and daughter.
He is survived by his wife Amy Rosado Warner whom he married December 22, 2005 in Mayville; his son, Billy Warner Jr. of Binghamton, NY; and his daughter, Hayley Miller of Sherman; his sisters, Sue (Les) Yokom of Ripley, Linda Baldwin (Howard Frost of Mayville, Cindy (Rick) Miller of Mayville, Sandy (Mitch) Farnham of Stockton, Pat Collins of Pittsburgh; his brother, Bob (Carmen) Warner of Westfield; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jean Warner.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Rev. Richard Hamilton of the Stockton Community Church will officiate. Following the funeral service Wednesday a Celebration of his life will be held at the Stockton Community Church in Stockton. Burial will be in the Sherman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
